Historical finalist profile — Fall 2025. This page was published in 2026 from founder and Purdue sources.

Litmetrics placed third and won $5,000.

Team: Surya Kazipeta and Archana Tatavarti. Purdue's later competition recap spells Archana's surname Tatavarthi; her own public profile/post uses Tatavarti, which buildpurdue uses here.

What Litmetrics was building

Purdue's competition recap describes the Fall 2025 pitch as an AI intake and case-qualification solution for plaintiff law firms, aimed at improving efficiency in new-client acquisition.

Founder-authored material adds the operating detail: missed calls, slow follow-up, overloaded staff, and high-value cases being lost before a firm can properly qualify them. The team described an AI-driven intake platform intended to capture inquiries, prioritize cases, and reduce manual workload for paralegals and attorneys.

Customer discovery mattered

Public discussion around Litmetrics specifically praised the team's pivot based on customer feedback. That is important because the Burton Morgan process is structured around learning from the market rather than polishing the original concept at all costs.

The team advanced from the large Fall 2025 field into the Top 10 and ultimately finished third.
