Historical finalist profile — Fall 2025. This page was published in 2026 from public sources tied to the team and competition.

PipeLine was one of the Top 10 standout venture concepts and won first place and $10,000.

Team: Ben Gottlieb and Filippa Rodriguez

What PipeLine was building

Purdue's competition recap describes the Fall 2025 pitch as an operating system for small- and medium-sized trade contractors, beginning with rework — the "silent profit killer" — and using AI to help companies send the right technician with the right parts on the first visit.

That historical description is the competition record. Later founder updates describe PipeLine more broadly as "intelligence for dispatch" and discuss additional workflow capabilities; those later product details should not be read back into the December 2025 pitch.

What happened after Burton Morgan

In Spring 2026, Gottlieb wrote that PipeLine had moved from customer discovery to an MVP, added Matthew Wind to the team, and was preparing a paid pilot with an Indiana contractor.

The team also reported:

  • Best Business Insight at Purdue's Integrated Science and Business Challenge; and
  • first place at BoilerLaunch.

That makes PipeLine one of the clearest Fall 2025 examples of a Burton Morgan concept moving into active execution.
